Apple Vision Pro runs on visionOS, a platform built upon years of engineering excellence found in macOS, iOS, and iPadOS. visionOS brings forth immersive spatial experiences, opening up a world of possibilities both in professional settings and everyday life. With its revolutionary three-dimensional interface and control system operated seamlessly through eye movements, hand gestures, and voice commands, navigating feels almost enchanting. Intuitive actions like selecting apps by glance, tapping fingers for choices, swiping wrists to scroll, or utilizing virtual keyboards for typing make interaction a breeze. Plus, Siri's assistance enables swift app management, media playback, and beyond.

When the Apple Vision Pro hits the shelves on February 2, it'll come with three exciting "spatial games" which is basically mixed reality gaming. Among them are Game Room, Super Fruit Ninja, and the Apple Arcade gem What the Golf? However, Apple's keeping mum on the specifics for now.

Game Announcements for the Vision Pro

Interestingly, Apple has been downplaying the gaming aspect of its new headset until now. While we knew it could access Apple Arcade games and other apps, displaying them on a flat screen within the headset, it seemed like gaming wasn't a primary focus. However, the launch announcement has flipped the script, revealing that Apple is indeed cooking up some games specifically tailored for the device to make the most of its technology.

Information on all three games remains scarce, as they're merely mentioned in the announcement as upcoming releases. Apple indicates that these titles will leverage the robust capabilities of the Apple Vision Pro to transform players' surroundings, promising distinctive and captivating gameplay experiences.

Among the trio, Game Room made an announcement, with their website announcing it'll be released on February 2nd. Super Fruit Ninja seems straightforward, presumably a variation of the popular mobile game Fruit Ninja. However, the prospect of a new iteration of What the Golf? for Vision Pro is particularly thrilling, given its status as a comedic sports game standout on Apple Arcade. Whether this version constitutes a fresh take on the game or an additional mode within the existing app remains uncertain.

Apple has yet to divulge how Vision Pro users will access these games. However, the burning question on everyone's mind is whether this headset will be compatible with current PCVR games.
