Last Minute VR Gifts That Arrive Before Christmas 2026

Olen VR Christmas shipping deadline, order by December 12 2026

Here is the short version, because you probably opened this on your phone with a cart already half full. Order by Saturday December 12, 2026 and your gunstock gets built, packed and handed to a carrier with enough room to land before Christmas. Miss that date and there are still options, and the last section of this post goes through them without the sales pitch.

Our Christmas order by date for 2026. The carrier date behind it comes from USPS.

The one date that matters

December 12 is not a marketing number. It's built backwards from two real constraints. Our shipping policy says orders are processed within 1 to 2 business days, and the USPS send by date for Ground Advantage in the lower 48 this year is Thursday December 17. Order on the 12th, which is a Saturday, and the order is packed Monday the 14th at the latest. That leaves three days of slack before the carrier date.

Three days sounds generous until you remember what the second week of December looks like inside a sorting facility. It isn't generous. It's the minimum we'd be comfortable promising.

Timeline showing order December 12, packed December 14, USPS send by December 17, Christmas Day December 25
The four dates between hitting buy and Christmas morning.

Two things worth knowing before you plan around that date. Orders over $100 ship free in the US, which quietly changes the maths on the packs further down this page. And if you're shipping to an APO, FPO or DPO address, your deadline passed on November 4 for Ground Advantage. That one catches people out every year.

The carrier dates behind that number

We ship with USPS, UPS and FedEx. USPS publishes its holiday send by dates earliest and most clearly, so that's what our cutoff is pinned to. Here's the full 2026 set for the contiguous US, straight from the Postal Service.

Service Send by date, lower 48 What that means for you
USPS Ground Advantage Thursday Dec 17 Our default. Order by Dec 12.
USPS First-Class Mail Thursday Dec 17 Small items like charms and grips.
USPS Priority Mail Friday Dec 18 Buys you roughly one extra day.
USPS Priority Mail Express Saturday Dec 19 The expensive panic button.
FedEx Ground Economy Tuesday Dec 15 Earliest FedEx domestic date published.

Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and the US territories keep the same First-Class, Priority and Express dates. Ground Advantage to those destinations has no single published date, because transit there can run ten days or more, so USPS tells you to check service expectations for the specific address. If that's where the gift is going, add a week to everything on this page and use Priority.

Military addresses run on a different calendar entirely. Ground Advantage to APO, FPO and DPO ZIPs closed on November 4. First-Class and Priority close Wednesday December 9. Priority Mail Express Military Service runs to Wednesday December 16 for most ZIP ranges, and it isn't offered at every military post office, so check locally before you count on it.

Sources, so you can check rather than take our word for it: the USPS 2026 holiday shipping dates page and the FedEx 2026 peak last day to ship schedule. UPS had not published domestic ship by dates when this went up.

What actually shows up in the box

This is the part most gift guides skip, and it's the part that decides whether Christmas morning goes well or turns into a parts hunt.

Every gunstock we sell includes its controller mounts. You do not buy those separately. The reason the mounts have their own product page is spares, and people covering a second headset in the house. If you've already got a stock, the mounts are already in it.

On The Asset, one mount covers Quest 2, Quest 3, Quest 3S and Quest Pro, so a household with two different Quests isn't a problem. SPINE and LoPRO use magnetic mounts instead: Quest 3 and Quest 3S share one, and Quest 2 and Quest Pro each take their own. Mounts are sold separately for a reason beyond spares. When they upgrade headsets next year, they swap the mount and keep the stock.

Slip Grips controller mount attachments for The Asset VR gunstock
Slip Grips are a separate add on. The standard controller mounts are not.

The other thing worth setting expectations on is assembly. A SPINE goes together without a calibration step, because the mounts are magnetic and the controllers just snap to the rail. An Asset takes a few minutes with an Allen key the first time. Neither is hard. But if the person opening it is twelve years old and impatient, that difference is worth $24.

And handedness: every stock we build works for left or right handed players straight out of the box, with one exception in the lineup where the trigger hand is chosen at purchase and conversion parts are available after. The product page tells you which before you pay.

Which one should you buy

The honest answer is that it depends on what they actually play, and most gift guides refuse to say so because it makes the article longer. Here's our take, by the kind of player they are.

Decision graphic matching extraction, arena, immersion and unknown player types to an Olen VR gunstock recommendation with prices
Four player types, four picks. Prices verified on our own store.
The Asset VR Gun Stock SBS Edition in the Onyx colorway

The Asset, SBS Edition, $77.99

For extraction players. Ghosts of Tabor, ExfilZone, VAIL in extraction mode. The split body gives them something to brace against across a two hour raid without the whole rig fighting their arms. It ships with Stat Grips. Pair it with anti-slip controller straps at $29.99 if they play long sessions and complain about their hands.

The Asset VR Gun Stock STKR Edition in black

The Asset, STKR Edition, $31.99

For arena and battlefield players, and for anyone buying blind. Pavlov, Forefront, VAIL combat modes. It weighs 0.7 lb, which is the lightest thing we make that's still a full stock, and that matters when a round is forty seconds of constant movement. It's also the one we'd hand someone who has no idea what the recipient plays, because every Asset part including the mounts is interchangeable. They modify from here instead of rebuying.

SPINE VR Gun Stock in the all black Onyx colorway

SPINE, from $81.99

For immersion and single player. Into the Radius 2, Metro Awakening, anything where they're alone in the dark and the point is the feel of the thing. Top mounted, magnetic, 1.6 lb, adjustable from 24 to 28 inches, and no calibration step on Christmas morning. It comes in eight colorways, which is a worse reason to pick it than the ergonomics and a better reason than most people admit.

One caveat we'd rather you hear from us. SPINE's magnetic mounts grab a round rail, so the contact patch is small. Pull the stock hard into your shoulder and they can pop off. If the person you're buying for is the type who shoulders a virtual rifle like they mean it, the Asset line is the safer gift.

Every price, by budget

Most VR gift roundups won't print a number. We checked one published on October 7 this year that names nineteen products, prints zero prices, and never mentions gunstocks at all. So here's the whole ladder, verified against our own store on October 17, 2026.

Olen VR gunstock gift price list grouped by budget from four dollar charms to the ninety nine dollar SPINE Essential Pack
Starting prices. Variants for different headsets move some of these by a few dollars.
Product Price Who it's for
Gun stock charms $4.00 Someone who already owns a stock
The Asset, Solo Edition $24.99 to $28.99 Trigger hand only, no buttstock. PSVR2 and Index variants sit at the top of that range.
The Asset, STKR Edition $31.99 Lightest full stock at 0.7 lb
The Asset, base $57.99 The modular starting point
The Asset, SBS STKR Edition $71.99 Split body, lightweight build
LoPRO $76.00 Full size two piece build, 2 lb
The Asset, SBS Edition $77.99 Extraction players, ships with Stat Grips
SPINE $81.99 and up Immersion players, eight colorways
The Asset Starter Pack $97.99 Quest 3 and Quest 3S only, by design
Spare controller mounts $21.99 to $25.99 A second headset in the house

A note on the Starter Pack, since the price looks odd next to the others. It's Quest 3 and Quest 3S only on purpose, because the leather controller straps in it only fit those controllers. It isn't a missing variant.

Below $35 there's a whole second tier worth knowing about if you're topping up a stocking rather than buying the main gift. Slip Grips and Stat Grips start at $7.99. A wall stand is $11.99 and solves the real problem of where the thing lives when nobody's playing. The MOD Allen key is $9.50 and is the single most quietly useful nine dollars in the catalog.

Will it fit their headset

Buy the wrong one and you're dealing with a return in the first week of January, which is nobody's idea of a good time. Check this before you check out.

Headset The Asset SPINE LoPRO
Meta Quest 3 Yes Yes Yes
Meta Quest 3S Yes Yes Yes
Meta Quest 2 Yes Yes Yes
Meta Quest Pro Yes Yes Yes
PSVR2 Yes, all versions Yes No
Valve Index SBS, SBS STKR and Solo only Yes Yes
Steam Frame Yes Yes Yes
Pimax Crystal Yes, all versions No No
Oculus Quest 1 No Yes Yes

The Index row is the one that trips people up. There are no Slip Grips for Index controllers, which rules out the base Asset and the STKR, and leaves the SBS, SBS STKR and Solo. If they're on Index, start from the Index collection rather than browsing the full catalog.

If you'd rather shop by what they own, the per headset collections are the fastest route: Meta Quest 3, PSVR2, Steam Frame, or the full shop by headset page.

You missed December 12

It happens. Here are the three things that still work, in the order we'd actually recommend them.

Olen VR gift card graphic showing twenty five, fifty and one hundred dollar amounts with no shipping required
The gift card is a digital product, so no carrier date applies to it.
  1. An Olen VR gift card, $25, $50 or $100. It's a digital gift card. Nothing ships, so no cutoff applies, and it lands in their inbox. There's a second argument for it that has nothing to do with being late: on a gunstock, colorway and trigger hand are personal, and letting them choose beats guessing. Order it on December 24 if that's where you are.
  2. Upgrade to Priority Mail at checkout. The send by date moves to Friday December 18, so you buy yourself roughly a day over Ground Advantage. Order by December 15 and ask us to prioritize it. We can't promise what a carrier does in the third week of December, and we won't pretend otherwise.
  3. Print the product page and put it in a card. Unglamorous, and it works. A photo of a $77.99 SBS Asset with "this is on its way" written under it beats a rushed gift they didn't want.

What we would not do is order on December 20 with Express and hope. Priority Mail Express has a send by date of December 19 for a reason.

Questions people ask first

What is the last day to order a VR gunstock from Olen VR for Christmas 2026?

Saturday December 12, 2026 for standard US shipping. That date accounts for our 1 to 2 business day processing time plus the USPS Ground Advantage send by date of Thursday December 17 for the contiguous United States. Orders to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and the US territories need more time, and military APO, FPO and DPO addresses closed for Ground Advantage on November 4, 2026.

Do Olen VR gunstocks come with the controller mounts included?

Yes. Every gunstock includes the controller mounts it needs. Mounts are also sold on their own, at $21.99 to $25.99, but that listing exists for spare parts and for covering a second headset in the same household. If you buy a stock as a gift, you do not need to add mounts to the order.

Which VR gunstock is the best gift if I don't know what games they play?

The Asset STKR Edition at $31.99. It's the lightest full stock in the lineup at 0.7 lb, it's the cheapest way into the Asset system, and every Asset component including the mounts is interchangeable. That means the recipient can convert it toward a split body build or add MOD Armory parts later rather than buying a second stock. For a more specific match, extraction players want the SBS Edition at $77.99 and immersion players want the SPINE from $81.99.

Will a VR gunstock fit a Meta Quest 3 and a Quest 2 in the same house?

On The Asset, yes. One Asset mount covers Meta Quest 2, Quest 3, Quest 3S and Quest Pro, so a single stock moves between those headsets. SPINE and LoPRO use magnetic mounts that are headset specific: Quest 3 and Quest 3S share a mount, while Quest 2 and Quest Pro each use a different one. Spare mounts are sold separately, so covering a second headset costs $21.99 to $25.99 rather than the price of a second stock.

How much does shipping cost, and is there free shipping?

US orders over $100 ship free. Below that, shipping is flat rate based on destination and order weight, and the exact figure is shown at checkout. Orders are processed within 1 to 2 business days, and we ship with USPS, UPS and FedEx. Full terms are on the shipping policy page.

Is a VR gunstock worth buying for someone who only plays casually?

For a casual player, start at the bottom of the range rather than the top. The STKR Edition at $31.99 or the Solo Edition from $24.99 give them the stability benefit without a $100 commitment to a hobby they might play twice a month. A gunstock mainly helps in shooters where you aim down sights, so if the person mostly plays rhythm games, fitness apps or social VR, a gift card or a set of grips is the more useful gift.

Can a left-handed player use these?

Every stock in our lineup works for left or right handed players out of the box, with one model where you choose the trigger hand at purchase and conversion parts are available afterward. Each product page states which applies before you pay, so check that page rather than guessing. The Asset Solo Edition lists left hand and right hand options directly.

Before you close this tab

If you want the longer version of the buying decision, the VR gunstock buying guide goes platform by platform with the full price table. If you're still gathering ideas, the 2026 VR gift guide and the under $50 and under $100 roundup cover the rest of the catalog, and the Quest 3 accessories guide covers everything that isn't a stock. If they're shopping for games to go with it, the best VR shooting games list flags which titles support a physical stock properly and which ones only sort of do.

Setup videos for each stock are on our YouTube channel, which is worth sending to whoever unwraps it so you aren't the one doing tech support on Christmas Day.

Order by December 12. Everything else on this page is detail.
